Overview
Some travel brands ensure that data, including travel arrangements and booking details, is not shared among agencies to maintain the independence (and isolation) of each agency's operations. This is particularly relevant when using the Amadeus GDS, where this isolation is achieved through unique Office IDs for each agency. These Office IDs help keep flight details separate both within TripBuilder and on Amadeus's backend systems.
TripBuilder manages SoftConEx configurations at the Distribution Channel level, which applies generally to all travel agencies. However, it also allows for assigning specific Office IDs to individual agencies.
Important: This feature is available only to customers using the Amadeus GDS via the SoftConEx API connection. |
Pre-Requisites
To use this feature, the following steps are required. Some steps are performed outside of TripBuilder:
1. Travel Brand provides SoftConEx with a list of Office IDs requiring mapping
2. SoftConEx creates a user account that can manage multiple Office IDs through the API
3. SoftConEx configures the Office IDs associated with the user account
4. SoftConEx provides access credentials to Nezasa
5. Nezasa configures these credentials within TripBuilder
6. Travel Brand using TripBuilder assigns the appropriate Office ID to each travel agency. This final step is outlined in the following section.
How to Configure an Agency-Specific Office ID
1. Navigate to Settings
2. Click on Travel Agencies in the User Management section
3. Choose an existing agency to modify or create a new one
4. Select the Settings tab
5. Scroll down to the External References section
6. Click on Add external reference
7. Create a new external reference called SoftConEx and input the Office ID value in the id field
8. To save the agency details, click the Save button at the top right
Once saved, every search and booking conducted by the travel agency will use the specified Office ID in API requests.
