Overview
The Optional Service Charges feature allows agents to apply an additional surcharge to an itinerary's price. These charges are not visible to the traveller but are recorded in Customer Care. Essentially, they act as "hidden charges" as they do not correspond to any service in a supplier's system.
This feature is only available to Agent users via TA-Tools functionalities and will add an amount in the itinerary currency to the total price.
Adding an Optional Service Charge in Planner
To add an optional service charge in Planner, follow these steps:
1. Select TA-Tools.
2. Select the Optional Service Charges option.
3. The Edit Service Charges page will then appear.
4. Enter the amount you wish to add to the itinerary booking.
5. Click the Save button

Reviewing an Optional Service Charge in Customer Care
Optional service charges are only visible to Customer Care users. To check if a charge has been applied to an itinerary and to view its value, follow these steps:
1. Access Customer Care.
2. From the itinerary list, select the relevant itinerary by clicking on its ID.
3. Under the Itineraries section, click on Services & Price List from the menu on the left-hand side of the page.
4. The Optional Service Charges entry will be displayed in the Internal Prices section
Configuration
Optional service charges can be configured for each Distribution Channel by following the steps below:
1. Navigate to Settings.
2. Select Distribution Channels.
3. Select your TripBuilder ID.
4. Click on the Planner tab.
5. Go to the Expert Tools (TA/TO Tools) section.
6. Ensure that the Optional Service Charges feature is enabled for travel agency users.
