Overview
With TripBuilder's Advanced Filters feature, accessing specific itinerary templates from either Suggested Tours or Branded Tours can be significantly simplified. This approach may constitute a more efficient alternative to paginated navigation or textual searches.
Please note: By default, the Advanced Filters feature is activated in the Discovery Overview. However, for an IBE integration, the search results appear without filters. These can easily be activated on an individual basis. For additional information, please refer to the article IBE Configuration Options and URL Parameter API. |
Using Advanced Filters
Activate the Advanced Filters feature by clicking on the expand/collapse label with the same name. The search area will expand, offering various filtering options to refine your search results.
The feature consists of 13 individual filters that can be enabled or disabled individually as per your requirements:
-
Text: The entered text should correspond to at least one keyword in the search keywords, which TripBuilder collects from the following fields present or referenced by a template:
- For a particular template:
- Ref ID
- Title
- Key highlights
- Visited countries
- Inventory owner's short name (assigned internally during setup by Nezasa)
- Tags
- For all modules included in the template:
- Ref ID
- Title
- Start location
- End location
- Stop locations
- Inventory owner's short name (assigned internally during setup by Nezasa)
- Tags
- For a particular template:
- Trip Type: Applied to the trip's type categories defined for the template. When selected, all templates encompassing the chosen categories are displayed.
- Target Group: Applied on the target group categories defined for the template. If chosen, all templates covering the selected categories are displayed.
- Theme: Applied on the set of theme categories defined for the template. If chosen, all templates containing the selected categories are displayed.
- Country: Applied on the country Codes that are visited in the scope of the template. Modules, segments, products and connections are checked.
- Start/End location: Filter by start/end location (IATA-Code or Metropolitan Area). This only applies to airports.
- Custom Template: Let you search for custom and public templates. If left unselected, only public templates are available for search.
- Start date and Latest End date: Both filters refine the template display based on their availability within a specified start and end date range. While the Start date field is mandatory (and will automatically use today's date if left undefined), the Latest End date field is optional. Leaving it blank will result in an "open-ended" search, where no restriction is applied to the template's start date.
Example:
|
- Duration: Applied on descriptive duration fields. If a minimum duration is set, then the trip's minimum duration must be equal or longer. If a maximum duration is set, then the trip's maximum. duration must be equal or shorter.
- Region: Applied on the template's region. This is only active when at least one country is selected in the Country filter. It only shows regions belonging to the specified countries. The region is determined based on the template's start location.
- Tag: Allows the filtering of templates by tags.
Know more: For more information, kindly refer to the article Tag Filters. |
In the previous screenshot all filters were enabled except for Duration, Region and Tag (i.e. no tags have been defined).
In addition to select which filters should be displayed, you can also set the sequence in which they appear. Further information on configuring the Advanced Filters is given in the next section.
Configuring advanced filters
You can define which advanced filters to display by following the steps below:
-
From the Cockpit, go to Settings
-
Click on Distribution Channels
-
Click on your TripBuilder ID
-
On the Discovery tab, scroll down to Filters
Determine which filters to display and set their order using the Position numeric field. Filters with lower priority numbers will appear before those with higher ones. If two filters have the same priority number, they will be arranged alphabetically.
