Know more: Please make sure to read the Fixed Multi-Day Tours article first. Service Level settings are essential for having the fixed module and pricing functionalities available. |
Module Pricing Types
Tripbuilder offers you three different Module Pricing Types when creating a fixed module. Which are the following:
- No Pricing
- Room Category Pricing
- Service Category Pricing
No pricing
The total price of a module is the sum of all product component prices added to the module.
- Creating a fixed module with No Pricing will allow you to control which products are offered on the tour, but prices will be dynamic based on the products' individual prices.
Service Category Pricing
Service Category Pricing allows you to define a fixed price for each Service Level available on the module.
- Select this type if you want to control which products are offered in the module, for which price and the default currency.
- Access the Category tab and click on Add Pricing to get started. Make sure you define the Pax range and Pricing per season.
- Repeat the same steps for each Service Category and click on Save.
Room Category Pricing
Room Category Pricing offers an extra dimension for the module price definition by room type.
- Select this type if you want to be able to define the module price and default currency per Service Level and Room Type.
- Access the Category tab and click on Add Pricing to get started. The Room Category selector will be displayed.
- Repeat the same steps for each of the Service Categories and click on Save.
If required, you can also add different pricing seasons.

Seasonality in Categories
In fixed modules with pricing definitions, it is possible to have different pricing seasons/seasonalities per Service Level. With this flexibility, as an example, a "Deluxe" category may have only two available dates, whereas a "Standard" category could have more / different available dates.
To add a Pricing Season to a Category in a module:
- Having the module selected, click on the Categories tab
- In the list of available Service Level Categories, identify the intended one by its name on the left (e.g. "Standard", "Deluxe", or "Superior)
- Click on "Add pricing season". A popup will appear, presenting the option to create a new season in one or more of the Service Level Categories available.
- After selection, click on Confirm
- Define season pricing as described in How to create an inventory accommodation?
- After creating one or more pricing seasons, these are displayed for each Service Level Category
In this scenario different pricing seasons have been defined for Standard and Deluxe categories (i.e. "High Season 2023" is not defined for "Deluxe". When planning a trip and depending on the date selected in the itinerary, different service level categories may be available for customers to choose from.
How to configure allotments for fixed modules?
On the Categories tab of the module, Allotments can be added for modules that are configured with the Module Pricing Type: Room Category Pricing & Service Category Pricing.
To add allotments to the module:
- Click on the Allotments button
- Select the Service Level and enter the details.
- Click on Save.
If your module uses Room Category Pricing, you will also see the selected room types displayed as part of the flow.
Sales price for Fixed Group Multi-Day Tours
By definition, a Fixed Group Multi-Day Tour is a template with one or more fixed modules. Different modules with different pricing types, No Pricing, Room Category Pricing, and Service Level Pricing, can be combined within the template. The final sales price of the itinerary will be calculated based on the set pricing types.
Example

- Module Pricing Type is set to Service Category Pricing
- Service Level = Superior was selected as Category
Once the Module Pricing Type is changed to No Pricing, the itinerary price will be calculated based on the products' individual prices.
- Module Pricing Type is set to No Pricing.
- In this case of the example module, only the inventory accommodation in Madrid with a fixed price of 50 Euros/night will be displayed.
- The sales price of 53 EUR, including defined accommodation markups, will be displayed in the Planner.
