Overview
On Templates, it is now possible to define if there are guaranteed departures for all travel dates or to a certain sub-set of departure dates in a fixed multi-day tour. This gives tour operators a strong marketing positioning by guaranteeing that the tour will take place on a given date.
Guaranteed Departure at Template Level
On Templates, it is possible to define on a generic level if the fixed multi-day tour has guaranteed departure dates. To enable Guaranteed departure dates on a template, go to:
- Checkout & Open the Template
- Click on the Description Tab
- Scroll down to the Tour Information
- Toggle the Private/Group Tour
- Click on the checkbox Guaranteed Departure.
This definition at the Template level will then be displayed in the respective tour overview on Discovery. The Guaranteed Departures is displayed as an acronym, that changes with the respective language, e.g.
- English: G.D (Guaranteed Departure)
- German: G.R. (Garantierte Durchführung)
- etc.
On the discovery details page of the tour, within the tour attributes section, guaranteed departures will be displayed too.
Guaranteed Departures per Date
On Group Tour Templates, it is possible to define specifically which dates can be set as guaranteed departures. This can be done on the Departure Date tab of a group tour template and by choosing which dates should be displayed with this information.

On the Discovery Details page, as in the tours overview page, the acronym G.D (different in other languages) will be associated with the respective departure date. Depending on the number of available departure dates, we may show this in different ways.

For this scenario, we highlight the guaranteed departures with a different colour in the calendar date picker. And when selected, we display the information that the date has a guaranteed departure.
Group Departure Dates in Customer Care
Managing group tours in Customer Care makes it possible to visualise which departure date has a guaranteed departure.
